A peek into my own journey

Let me share a bit about what drives my passion for work.

I’ve always had a natural inclination to help others.  As a child I loved nature and animals, which led me to the study of ecology and into working in international conservation.  I met incredible people from all walks of life. many of whom faced challenges rooted in self confidence or tough life situations. This sparked a desire to learn skills to help people more effectively, so the people I met could shine in the way I could see they could!

My own life has had it’s share of ups and downs, and I understand how the stresses of live can affect us.  Living within a neurodiverse family. having the gifts of ADHD, dyslexia myself and managing a hereditary health condition has the taught me resilience and perseverance.  I believe strongly that everyone can find happiness and fulfilment in life, regardless of what they’ve been through.

My approach to therapy is simple: I believe in meeting people where they are, focusing on their strengths and helping them move forward. I prefer to help someone build a better future, learning lessons from what’s worked in the the past rather than dwelling on it. I love learning and am committed to using this to stay informed about the best ways to support those I work with.
